PM Modi On Election Results: “People Have Trusted NDA For Third Time, Historic Moment”

Today, National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leader Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude to the Indian people for the party’s third straight victory.

“People have trusted NDA for a record-breaking third time! In a post on X, PM Modi stated, “This is a historic feat in India’s history.”

According to trends, the NDA got 290 seats and passed the halfway point. Gaining 234 seats in the Lok Sabha, the opposition alliance INDIA also made a partial recovery, which is a significant improvement over 2019.

Nevertheless, PM Modi’s victory margin from Varanasi this time is far smaller than the margin of more than 4 lakh votes he received in the 2019 election.

The largest surprise of the day, according to political observers, was Uttar Pradesh, where the BJP and Samajwadi Party (SP) were tied in what was thought to be an easy race for the BJP.

One of the main talking themes of this election was the building of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, which has been a BJP election pledge since the 1980s. Supporters of the party were confident that it will be a deciding factor in the Lok Sabha elections.

However, in Faizabad, which includes the assembly seat for Ayodhya, the SP is in the lead. Here, Awadhesh Prasad of the SP is ahead of his closest BJP opponent, Lallu Singh, by more over 33,000 votes. With 80 MPs from Uttar Pradesh—the greatest number in the nation—the BJP was predicted by exit polls to win the majority of the state’s seats in the Lok Sabha.
